IGBT Battery Charger and Discharger
Using new IGBT components and a shared DC bus, the battery's discharged energy is efficiently redirected to recharge the battery, maximizing energy utilization. When discharge power exceeds charging demand, excess energy is fed back to the grid as a clean sine wave for use by other equipment. As a result, the bus charger achieves significantly higher efficiency than legacy SCR rectifier chargers, with a power factor exceeding 0.9 and energy savings of approximately 20%. It produces no harmonics, protects battery terminals from damage, and prevents fuse failures during power interruptions—reducing both energy consumption and production costs.
